...quite literally.
I've been trying to get pics of the flower displays in Stratford for a couple of days and that was one of the things that prompted a new camera.
So yesterday, despite the rain - I took some pics. Be warned there are quite a few photos and not much blurb...
What looks like sticks of rhubarb are in fact train rails representing 'movement' and Stratford's history in the rail industry. It used to have a 'mate' just outside the station called 'time' which was a twisted stack of metal with a clock in the top - it got moved to Maryland station down the road when all the construction on the Westfield centre started.
These flower tubs just appeared with no warning.
The view from our office shows the Courthouse in the background.
The blue-framed building is where I work.
This is a very busy junction where folk leave or enter the Stratford one-way system so in addition to the flower tubs on the island they have been planting under the few remaining real trees...
...they have even installed upward lighting so that the trees will be lit after dark.
It all looks very pretty - anyone would think there was something important going on in the area **giggle**......................................
