...is the Sunday challenge over at Catch the Bug.
With a week long set of daily challenges for the Christmas in July event over at Catch the Bug, I spent a pleasant afternoon over at Mum's colouring in a number of Bugaboo Christmas images so that they would be ready to use.
This is one of the JJ images from Bugaboo (I think it might be the November calendar image). I really enjoyed colouring this using colours that don't immediately spring to mind when you think of Christmas.
The image has been coloured with my Copic pens and I've used some more of the Forever Friends PP.
The flat-back gems add a bit of bling without too much height.
Bulk is certainly someting that we will all be taking into consideration this year when it comes to sending our Chrimbo cards. Christmas sees us send more cards than at any other time of the year. So with the big rise in postal costs earlier this year it makes sense not to add too much in the way of embellies that might bulk things out and make them rather expensive to send. Gems & glitter are always a good option for Christmas so there isn't any need to worry that your card will look 'bare'.
Some die-cuting and a bit of minimal layering can add lots of interest - go on; give it a go. Christmas isn't that far away **runs to hide before the missile start flying this way** LOL.......................................

Thinking about Christmas cards brings me out in a cold sweat (shudder) but I love this one, especially the use of gems :)

lovely and I like those colours for Christmas
the paint fairies never arrived although the paint pot ones did- Dad gave me a pot of paint so changing the colour from blue to caramel- might go and make a start
