What a difference a day makes...

...or two or three.

Okay, yes...I know it is October but do the temperatures need to fluctuate quite so much.

Although Monday started with a nip in the air and a bit of heavy mist, it turned into a fabulous day - blue skies, pleasantly warm sunshine (temps were hovering around 20C).

I can only say that things have gone downhill since then.

I didn't think it was that chilly when I went out this morning but the wind got up and by the time I got off the bus at Chelmsford and started to walk across the town to the office, it was bitter. Temps have clung around the 10C mark all day and the wind has made it feel even colder.

I love the Autumn season - the colours are amazing.

There is nothing lovelier than seeing the greens of Spring and Summer turn to fire with the appearance of the golds, rusts...
 ...reds...
...and oranges.

I don't mind it being a bit cooler, as long as it is bright and sunny. What I don't like is being battered by an icy bitter wind. The wind also spoils the colour displays because it pulls all those glorious leaves from the trees.

If you are listening Mother Nature, can you please lay off of the gales. I really do want to enjoy your colourful artistry for as long as possible.........................................................

I must admit I'm loving the change in the season, I know it's been windy and rainy this afternoon, but somehow it seems right. As long as we can have hot hot summers, I'll take what winter can throw at me! Mind you having a wood burner does make it easier to bear lol

Those pictures are fabulous! Glorious colours. I think the weather can´t make up its mind. It´s coming and going in between us. :D
