...background.
That's the challenge (#14) over at "TOMIC" and they have given folk pretty much the freedom to do this in any way they like.
After undertaking a pretty mamouth project for last week's TOMIC challenge, I have spent all week playing catch-up...my own fault...and I have actually missed a couple of challenges that I wanted to do this week but just didn't have the time (can't be helped but note to self to plan better and remember that working full-time only leaves a few hours for crafting and I do actually have to sleep at some point LOL).
So here is my effort and I thought I would start with a pic of the backing paper I created...
...I had already stuck a piece to the card when I thought it would be a good idea to have a pic of the paper...Doh!!! I used Cosmic shimmer sprays in pink, red, lime & gold shades - I really just went for a 'bit of this & a bit of that' until I was happy with the effect, remembering not to make the paper too wet as I then scrunched it up and then ironed it flat(ish).
This is what I ended up with. Having forgotten that I had this deep-edge Martha Stewart punch until recently it is now getting a fair bit of use. Patch Tilda has been coloured to co-ordinate with the backing paper and I used my x-Cut butterfly punch as there is a butterfly on the sentiment.
It is difficult to get the card in the right light and at the right angle to show the pretty gold shimmer that the backing has.
I think the butterflies add enough decoration and dimension to the card so I haven't added anything else.
Hope you like...........................
