The decorations...

...are starting to appear.

The Stratford Christmas tree put in an appearance on the plaza between the steps leading to Westfield and the bus station...
...despite the drizzle, there were plenty of folk wandering around and enjoying the lights.

Nearer to home in Stanford-le-Hope, things are a little plainer.

King Street, the High Street and Corringham Road all have great big black planters dotted along the pavements containing Christmas trees but with the exception of the one outside the Old Regent Ballroom - they are bare, so not easy to get photos after dark. It may be a work in progress but there is currently no welcome sign that usually lights the way into Stanford from the station and there are no lights on the lamp-post...we normally have angels & shooting stars. However, as I said - they may be working on it.

At some point this week I need to sort out the decorations at work. Could be interesting as this Summer we had new PCs with dual monitors so there isn't much space left on the desks for me to clamber about. I'm sure I'll work something out.

Happy decorating everyone..................................................................

blue must be popular for xmas trees this year as chicago's tree is blue too! me? i have a small table-top tree with white lights. it sits in the corner of my morning room. heck! it's just me and the dog anyway. the kids come by on xmas, get their gifts and go. easy peasy and quiet.

have a great week.
