WOWZA...

...what a fabulous surprise to come home to.

Normally, my tubs look like this...

...sited either side of my front door but Thursday evening they were all higgle-de-piggle-de. The reason being that the postman had used them to hide a rather large parcel.

When the lovely LLJ (Lunch Lady Jan) offered to send some goodies to help towards my fund raising, I didn't expect the fabulous array of goodies that arrived (I will photo everything later when there is some decent light).

I had another amazing surprise on the fundraising front this week.

A colleague sadly lost his Mother recently and the family wishes were for charity donations rather than flowers - I was presented with £360 to add to the collection...
...and as you can see, this has taken the total over the £600 mark.

When I set a target of £150, I was quite happy to meet or possibly just go over that but everyone has been so generous. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be announcing a figure like this.

What is even more fabulous is the fact that folk at work are still interested and supporting the fund raising.

Jan will probably not see this post as she is now in full "house moving" mode but I had to post and say a very BIG thank you for all the lovely things she sent (especially at a time when she is so busy) so if Julia (Stamping Ground) happens to drop by...please do let her know that I am over the moon - and I will post some photos ASAP.  I promise..................................................

I have to say, I never fail to be impressed by the friendship and generosity of crafters in blogland and this is another wonderful example Toni. I have one of Jan's creations and I love it, she is a remarkable and talented seamstress!! It is sad about your colleague losing his Mum but what a wonderful gesture to boost your fundraising. Well done to you too for all your efforts, they are certainly being rewarded! Anne xx

Hi TJ, nice to 'meet' you! Jan has already sent me your addy, so I'm busy putting inserts into the cards, and bagging them up. Will be posting them sometime next week, before we go on holiday. I shall try and get some birthday cards into the box as well, but there will be more made after we get back. It's great they are going to such a good cause, and it's great for me too. I end up not making as many cards as I'd like, as even with all the cards I send, I'd end up with way more than I could use. And I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands again, lol. I was expecting to go back to work on staged return after our hols, but thats been put off now. Never mind, more time for crafting, and Pinterest! Rofl. Wonderful to read how much you've raised so far, and we all know they need every penny. Hugs, Shaz xx
