...a rest LOL
Let me explain...
Each month I change the desk-top imange on my PC by using a free download from the Forever Friends website. I love the cute teddy images and it is handy having a big calendar on the screen.
I believe it is possible to note diary appointments on it in some way but I haven't even thought of going there as my techy skills are pretty non-existant.
The May image was very Red / White / Blue which wasn't surprising as the Nation had just celebrated a Royal Wedding and National pride was on a high. You can also see on the May image that the Bank Holidays are highlighted.
The one problem with the Forever Friends site is that they don't update these desk-top images very promptly. I checked last week and there was no sign of a new one for June and then I totally forgot about it until today. Bunting still plays a part in the design and we still have plenty of blue - cute as usual in fact. So I happily set about downloading...
Great - all done.
You know when you are looking at something and the brain doesn't quite register what it is seeing...well that was me a short while ago. Staring at the screen I noticed that the 19th was highlighted. Was this a new Bank Holiday or a special event that I'd missed being announced by the media? For the life of me I couldn't think what it could be...then the light-bulb came on - FATHER'S DAY - doh!!!
I'm def in need of being swept away to somewhere lovely and quiet/ warm and with lots of crafting facilities...but knowing my luck it will just be the 'men in white coats' ready to take me to a padded room somewhere...LOL
I'm obviously losing the plot but never mind - only 200 days to Christmas........................

What a brilliant idea... having them as desktop.... Fathers day.... I totally forgot about that, as over here it has been and gone...I don't need to make one to send from me.. (sad face) but I had best get making one for Hannah's dad.... Thank you for the reminder xx
I like that idea of a monthly desktop change. They say change is good! You know, you might be on to something there. You should start a holiday hotel on a fabulous island consisting of sun, great food, relaxation and crafting. Hmmmmmmm could be good!!!
I thought father's day was this weekend coming? OK... think I need to join you on your vacation... maybe Canadians have a different father's day? I royally screwed up Mother's day this year... forgot the English one... Mum didn't mind as she lives in France.. missed the French one and the Canadian one... perhaps if I had got a card or breakfast in bed or something I would have remembered? LOL
ah bless you hun you sound like you need a break! For once I've considered Fathers day in advance on behalf on said 10 year old and we had the necessary conversations last month so I'm sorted but I know what you mean about needing some time LOL! 200 days til Christmas - mmm mind you I must admit just hit week 23 of the Darcy's 52 words in 2011 - which means we are very nearly at the halfway point in the year gulp!
