I am still struggling with the concept of 'less is more' - I so want to add layers, bling and a ribbon or flower here or there LOL
This is my third week of giving it a go as I do like to try things that take me out of my comfort zone...and boy does this do it.
Trying to meet the challenge requirement of using a frame but also only one layer - this is what I've come up with...
I've used a Thomas Kinkade stamp that I've stamped onto a tent-fold card blank in Memento 'London Fog'. I then just highlighted a few areas with my Copics because I didn't want to colour the whole image. It was at this point I wanted to attack it with stickles and other forms of bling but I held back.
The stamp is quite a formal image so I wanted something different for the frame. I decided to go with a bit of doodling which I kept to shades of gray - not sure that I am totally happy with the result but hey, I gave it a go and I've tried something that I normally wouldn't do. Sometimes it is all too easy to stick to what we are comfortable with but that doesn't help us grow.......................

I think you have a brilliant attitude towards your crafting...we do sometimes need to step out of our comfort zone... it looks as though you are doing pretty well too... and we wouldn't tell you off for using Stickles and a bit of bling... in moderation!

I like the Less is More challenge as it makes me think also... sometimes it is easier than others..
This card is lovely, just the right amount of colour, and I don't think it needs anything else at all..
I would be one proud bunny if I had made this.
