What happened to...

...Summer? (photos from BBC weather gallery)

We should have been having lovely warm balmy days...
...ending with beautiful warm evenings, before we head off into Autumn.
However, as much as I love the colours that come with the Autumn season I do like to have had a bit of Summer first.

It is not very heartening to be faced with scenes like this in the papers and on the news.
I'm sitting in my office at this moment hardly able to see out of the windows because the rain is coming down so heavily...I'm gonna be one very soggy bunny by the time I get home tonight.

I think we did get a couple of nice days...Oooo, about Easter time and then we had a Sunday & Monday that were unbearably hot (and caused the transport in & out of London to almost grind to a halt due to overhead cables stretching with the heat).

I hope the weather is better where you are. Oh the joys of an English Summer (?)..................................

Hi Toni

Strangely enough our summers doesn't seem to have been too bad, but maybe I'm still riding the crest of a wave when it comes to last weeks holiday LOL!

I think our weather is better than yours today! Sending you some sunshine. :)

Sadly it's not great here either, blowing a gale and pretty chilly! That flooding looks awful though!:(
All the more reason to stay indoors and craft!

Not only did we miss Summer (except for the two weeks at Easter) it would appear we're going to skip Autumn & head straight on into Winter here. Oh joy!.

It's been utter rubbish, hasn't it.

We had some really hot and humid days but the last few have been very grey, damp and cool!
