Recycling CDs...

...comes in handy when taking part in challenges.

Over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenges (challenge 48) the remit is to follow the sketch provided and use a Kenny K image - why don't you hop over there and see what it's all about.

I only have a limited number of Kenny K images so I thought I would use this little singing diva for my card...
...and as she is singing it seemed right to include a CD on there.
The sketch shows a number of layers on the card and I've achieved this using double sided PP from the Costco pack of 300 12x12 sheets. There are a few PPs in this pack that are quite 'grungy/distressed' looking. I chose ones that had stars on them so that it sort of went with the pop star idea that I had.
The CD brings a bit of bling to the mix. I cut out some stars from the PP and attached them on 3D foam pads - I thought they were more in keeping with the image than using flowers/blooms of some kind.

This was the first time I had actually coloured this image and was rather pleased with the way she turned out.

Please do hop over to the challenge site to see all the creations that folk have been coming up with..................................
