Playtime...

...Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Today was the first day of "Members Weekend" over at Pinnacle Crafts - that wonderful weekend that happens every-other month when virtually everything in store is available to members at 30% off. Last MW I had saved up for the latest colour collection from Copics but I just missed the last box so had to order them (still got the 30% off). Unfortunately, I think Joanne has been tearing her hair out in frustration as deliveries of the single pens having been arriving but the box sets have taken an age...never mind, today I collected them **very happy dance**
I was very good today - apart from collecting my Copics I only bought some new Nesties.
It seems such a long time since I ordered these lovely new Copics but now I have them and will be putting them to good use over this lovely long weekend. I think the first thing I will be doing though is re-arranging the pens I have so that these colours slot into their correct places in the scheme of things...I do like my colours in order LOL
I'm sure these lovely Nesties will be put to use fairly soon too. "Reverse Wonky Rectangles"...isn't that a fabulous name for this set. Up until now I've only had a set of scalloped ovals and I really wanted something that was a little more 'Uni-sex' - I think these will do the job.

I have been very good as this has been a rather long month (we were paid early because payday would have fallen on the day of the Royal Wedding) and the next payday doesn't arrive until Tuesday...**groan**...last working day of the month. Stiiiiiiiiiill, we have another 3 days to go for MW and I do have a few pennies saved **rollseyes whilst whistling nonchalantly** you never know, things could change LOL......................................

Oooooo - I admire your restraint hun!

Re IYC - wonder if you or your folks knew my dad then? Gerry Norton? He used to organise races and stuff (he died 5 years ago)...his boat was called Aires, but he also had Aphrodite there. He used to do the Gravelines sail and loved dancing at the club. In fact, there is a race named after him too. He was very much known as an English gentleman - spoke very well and often smoked cigars or a pipe.

OK - nuff waffling! I need to go and read my book!
