Christmas in July...

...well, why not LOL

I found a link to a Christmas Challenge blog over on The Crafty Elf's blog so I thought I'd give it a go - if you want to play too pop over here to the "Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge" as a new challenge will be starting soon.

The challenge is to create a Christmas card using Pink and/or Purple.
As you can see, I went for both on my gems and used some scalloped mauve CS for the base. The ornament is a die-cut felt one (DoCrafts Christmas promotion - last year).
The fir branch was created by punching lots of small fir sprigs using my Martha Stewart punch. I used Ice Stickles to attach them to the card so that there was a bit of a frosty feel to the branch.

Actually it is quite fitting that I've made a Christmas card this evening as tomorrow starts the Christmas in July event over at Pinnacle Crafts. Can't wait to see what Andy has been making for the card displays.........................

Now you see, if you had said to me you were using purple I would have had to pause... but with the sparkle and the white it looks stunning!!
