Oh, I do like to be...

...beside the sea-side.

The folk over on the "TOMIC" site have set the following for challenge #6..."Our Challenge this week is creating a scene with Magnolia stamps but not only with masking, it has to be dimensional". The DT have created 'stepper cards', 'frame cards', 'easels' and '3D' projects to show what they are looking for and if you have never made a stepper card before they have also included the instructions for creating one. Why don't you pop over and take a look.

My collection of Magnolia stamps is quite limited and I certainly don't have any of the background/accessory stamps that they have to go with the Tildas & Edwins - so I had to look at what else I could use to create a dimensional scene.
My little Tilda is enjoying a day at the beach - she has made a dip in the sand and using her bucket she has filled it with water so she can paddle her toes.
To create the beach scene I used some Kanban scenic card.
I cut the A4 sheet in half and used half to layer-up the various parts of the background. 3D foam was used to raise the various layers.
I used cocktail sticks and striped paper to create the pinwheels, which add further dimension to the scene.
The pinwheels are an element of fun to add to the summery beach feel.

I hope this meets the requirements of the challenge.............................
