A look at...

...crafting past.

Having spent the day with Mum there has been no crafting for me today - so I thought I'd let you see someting I made when I attended ceramic art classes.

This piece is actually a music box that when wound by the key at the front plays a segment from the Carousel Waltz. Not sure why I chose that piece of music other than the fact that it was probably the only non-Christmas/Wedding tune that was available LOL
I fell in love with this piece as it was arty but also cute.
Each of the 'brushes' has its own character, which sort of reminded me a bit of some of the Disney films.
Each 'brush' is a slightly different shape - just as a real pot of brushes would be...
...and the faces range from happy, to grumpy, to cheeky and surprised.
Since we had new windows put in a couple of years ago this piece has been able to sit on the windowsill in my 'craftroom' (previous windows in that room didn't have a sill) and the little faces peek out of their pot - probably in disgust (LOL) - at the fact that my craftroom is really more of a dumping ground.

Still, at least I have a little something in there that hints at arts & crafts...............................

Oh that's so cute! There's a place that does Ceramic classes near me but I haven't yet taken the plunge. I might just have to go take a peek at what they're doing now!

Love it! It's very cute and I agree with it looking a bit "Disney-fied". :D
