Skintones...

...can be a problem when colouring images - don't you find?

I was very interested to see that the latest Craft Stamper magazine had an article on just this subject.
Now bearing in mind I have Copic Ciaos rather than the Sketch pens, my choice of shades is somewhat limited (haven't yet received my new 36 shades which do include some more "Es") but I thought I would give it a go.
My normal choice for Caucasian skintones is...E50, E51, E53 and sometimes a little touch of R20 depending on the effect I want to create of the image involved.
In Craft Stamper it is suggested that you use...E000, E00, E11, E13 and R20.

E000 is a 'Sketch' shade as is E13 so I had to improvise...

I coloured the whole of the face with E50 then added E00 to create some shape & tone followed by E11 for a bit of shading. The E50 was used to blend and a touch of R20 was added to create a slight blush to the cheeks. Over all, a slightly more 'made-up' effect than my normal shading but I do quite like it.
...oh, and this is what she looks like completed...............................................

Lovely colouring Toni. *Ü* I like how different each one can turn out with the different colours. I bought my first set of Promarkers at Ally Pally yesterday and such a bargain - 12 for £11.90! *Squeal* TFS. ~Glen~

I think she looks great, doesn't seem you need any help with your colouring. I must pick up a copy of that magazine, next time I'm out ... although I'm a promarker fan, I'm sure they'll have hints too for me.

Great work with the blending! I don´t think I´ll be venturing that way. You need a light hand and lots of focus and patience. I´m at an "instant gratification" stage with my pieces. Lol! :D

I like all three and I think it is really down to personal preference and what we have.
